The loss of MH17: what is actually said in the film BBC

3 may BBC will be aired on the telecast from the series "conspiracy Theory" (Conspiracy Files), devoted to the investigation of the causes of the crash in July 2014 in the East of Ukraine "Boeing" Malaysia Airlines, carrying out flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Onboard "Boeing" there were 298 people, they all died.

According to the official investigationreport under the auspices of the Dutch authorities, the ship was hit by powerful anti-aircraft missile, but by whom? This issue is still cause for heated international controversy, guess work and assumptions.

In addition, there are other versions of the tragedy.

In Russian and Ukrainian press circulated reports from British Newspapers, according to which the authors of the program BBC has allegedly revealed the involvement in the catastrophe of "Boeing" of the CIA and Dutch intelligence services.

However, the author Mike Rudin in an interview with the Russian service BCI said that "applying for a sensation leak" is just one of the many versions studied by the creators of Conspiracy Files.

"The program we are considering many different theories about what happened. And one theory, which comes from Russia, is that a bomb, or even two, were laid on Board the aircraft performing flight MH17. But it's highly unlikely. The debris shows that the impact was from the outside. That is, all the evidence suggests that it was a rocket explosion outside a device on Board," says Rudin.

A statement by BBC:

"The Sunday Express newspaper had misrepresented the content of the programme. Unlike that stated in its headline, the experts are actually called in the program is unlikely allegation that MH17 was shot down by a Ukrainian combat aircraft, because these aircraft can't fly at this altitude.

In this unbiased documentary balanced contained conflicting statements about the fate of the flight, including evidence for and against theories involving Russia, Ukraine and the CIA.

The film also discussed in detail the results of the official investigation of the government of the Netherlands, which gives strong evidence that the plane was shot down by a powerful missile surface-to-air."

In an interview denied

Working on the film crew visited many countries, one way or another related to the death of flight MH17: Ukraine, Russia, the Netherlands and even in the United States.

The most time – several weeks – the journalists held in Ukraine, traveled to the crash site, were in Donetsk and the surrounding area.

"For me, an important result of the trip to Ukraine was that we were talking not only with those who claimed to see another plane in the air [in the time of the crash]. We also spoke to people who said they saw a missile launched from the nearby small town called Red October. There were also those who saw just the moment of the explosion, but did not see any other aircraft in the sky," said the author of the film in an interview with the Russian service BBC

"Some of the interviews we recorded on the condition of anonymity, the interlocutors but we had a lot, and they expressed different points of view. But if you add up all what they told us, their evidence supports the official version, which States that "Boeing" was shot down by "Buk" of the Russian manufacture, fired from the territory controlled by the rebels", - concludes Mike Rudin.

According to him, the creators of the program were extremely surprised that, when faced with these serious allegations, the Russian side is in no hurry to dissuade the world community.

"We asked the Russian foreign Ministry about the interview, but they declined. We also requested a meeting with representatives of the company "Almaz-Antey" - the developer of anti-aircraft systems "Buk", but they didn't want to talk to us. We held in Moscow a week in advance and requested the interview, but we were refused. We were surprised, we thought that people want to Express themselves, to present their point of view, but they decided otherwise. I understand that Russia denies any involvement in the crash," says Mike Rudin.

With the Ukrainians, he said, was different: "I spoke with Arseny Yatsenyuk, who at that time was the Prime Minister of Ukraine, we recorded an interview. In General, the Ukrainian side was more open and willing to communicate".

Ukrainian su-25 nothing to do with it ?

There is another version according to which the plane was shot down by another plane - a Ukrainian su-25. But, says Rudin, his research has shown that it is also very unlikely.

"This aircraft has not flown so high, is the stormtrooper. It is equipped with small missiles, compared with "Buk" they are generally tiny. And damage to the Boeing is huge – the number pochivshih its fragments larger than 800. If the missile was launched from the fighter, she was aiming in the engine and not into the cockpit. Su-25 can climb to a great height only light, without weapons. That is the worst possible type of military aircraft to perform such tasks. Unfortunately, many reports published on this issue to date, ignored these data. But all the evidence suggests that "Boeing" shot down by a missile [from earth], not another plane".

According to Mike, many eyewitnesses with whom communicated journalists say they first heard a loud sound similar to an explosion, and only then lifted his head and looked at the sky. In other words, they saw something after the time of the explosion.

"We know that after the explosion "the Boeing" has broken up into several large parts. Two of them continued by inertia movement in the North, and four others have been attributed to the East. This can be explained by the fact that some insisted they saw two objects flying in different directions. One of our interviewees said that he had not seen the second plane, but saw a missile, and people living in the vicinity of the crash site, said he had only seen disintegrating in the sky liner and no distractions," recalls Mike Rudin.

According to him, all kinds of seemingly contradictory statements are actually depriving the consistency of all the alternate versions, besides the version about rocket "earth-air".

Rudin admits that to pursue this investigation it was difficult even from an emotional point of view, because to avoid meeting with the relatives of the victims of the disaster was impossible.

"Two-thirds of the victims were Dutch. We met with many relatives, with two families recorded a great interview. In General they all want the truth was established. They are overreacting, when a party refuses to provide information, or, as sometimes in the case of Russia, give the wrong information," says the author of the film.

Events of social significance

At various times, the cycle Bi BBC Conspiracy Files talked about events such as the explosion of a bomb aboard an American airliner over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, the death of British Princess Diana, the terrorist attacks in London in July 2005, the tragedy of 11 September 2001 in the USA...

According to the authors of the program, in selecting the theme for the next episode there are three compulsory criteria: the event under investigation must be true at a given point in time, there are a few versions about the causes and consequences of the incident and the event should be of great public importance.

"The name of our program explains much of what we do. We're investigating various conspiracy theories, events with many contradictions. In this sense, the September 11 attacks in the United States - the most controversial event of our time, killing nearly three thousand people in new York and Washington. Such a number of victims simply do not fit in the head," says Mike.

"But I wouldn't say that the degree of importance of a story is determined by how many people died. The crash of flight MH17 is a terrible event, the death toll is still enormous, the tragedy has affected so many families. Of course, this is very, very controversial event, with many controversial points, and it will remain so for many years," adds the author of the program.
