Foreign journalists are welcomed to a Russian military base in Syria
The Ministry of defense of Russia will organize a press-tour, during which foreign correspondents will be shown the work of the Russian center for reconciliation in Hamim.
The town centre plan to visit about 100 journalists from 26 countries.
Flown to Syria correspondents met the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia major-General Igor Konashenkov reporters on Wednesday upon arrival at the base Hamim.
According to the General, on the basis of Hamim in the media inside to observe the work of the Russian center for reconciliation, and they will be shown the terms of deployment of Russian military.
Konashenkov noted that this is the seventh press tour to Syria organized for foreign journalists. In total in Syria through the Ministry of defense of Russia was visited by about 400 foreign journalists and Russian about the same.
French journalist using the pseudonym Ramzi Saeed, conducted an investigation on the preparation of the jihadists. The result of a three-month stay at the training camp of the extremists was the documentary "Soldiers of Allah". For shooting the journalist used a hidden camera. A group of young jihadists, which joined the journalist was planning a terrorist act in France. A potential target of the terrorist attack was designated a nightclub. The extremists had been arrested by law enforcement officers in preparation.
According to the journalist, the purpose of his research was to create a collective image of a young man, entering the ranks of the "Islamic state" terrorist organizations, banned in Russia. One of the main conclusions for Ramsay was the fact that the actions of the young jihadists were not signs of Islam, had no desire to improve the world. "They were lost, confused, suicidal, easily fed manipulation of young people", - says the journalist.
