The head of the FSB called the crash of EgyptAir terrorist attack


FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said that the crash of EgyptAir apparently is a terrorist act, RIA Novosti reported.

"Unfortunately, today there was another incident with the plane Egyptian airlines. Apparently, this is a terrorist act, which resulted in the death of 66 citizens, about 12 States," he said, and urged the European partners to jointly take measures to identify persons involved in the terrorist attack.

The FSB chief also said that his Agency jointly with the national security Committee of Kazakhstan has suspended the activity of criminals who were planning to commit terrorist acts in Russia on "Paris scenario". After the implementation of their plans they wanted to go to Syria to join the ISIL terrorists.

In addition, the FSB with the Belarusian KGB revealed the citizen of Russia, declared in the international wanted list for his involvement in an international terrorist organization. He planned to hide in one of the countries of Europe.
