Putin Prepares To Obliterate ISIS Once And For All

Putin has announced ambitious plans to completely obliterate ISIS once and for all, following a successful mission in surrounding their headquarters in Syria this week.

Russian troops alongside Syrian forces stormed into a key province surrounding Raqqa on Friday, and are now ready finish the terrorist regime once and for all.

Russian bombers smashed key ISIS positions in Raqqa as Assad’s forces closed in on the ground, defeating ISIS’ attempts to hold them back in a bloody firefight.

Express.co.uk reports:

According to the Al-Masdar News agency Syrian forces claimed a major victory at the Zakiyah Crossroad, a strategic area on the edge of Raqqa province, and are now making a lightning advance towards the city itself.

The troops are said to have recaptured more than 22 miles of land leading towards Raqqa whilst also liberating the village of Abu Al-Allaj from the evil fanatics’ rule.

Syrian forces now have the ISIS-held town of Tabqa, some 30 miles outside Raqqa, firmly in their sites and aim to liberate it before steamrollering on to the jihadis’ capital itself.

They are being heavily backed by Russian special forces on the ground and Putin’s airforce in the skies, which has stepped up its relentless bombardment of ISIS positions and facilities across Syria.

Elsewhere US-backed Kurdish troops retook four villages near the northern Syrian city of Aleppo as the terror group’s grip on territory in the Middle East continues to loosen.

Aircraft from the US-led coalition which includes Britain have dropped ammunition and weapons to Syrian rebels fighting ISIS near the town of Marea, in Aleppo province, which has been the scene of some of the fiercest fighting of the war.

And on Friday the US Navy stepped up its campaign against the evil jihadis, using targeted missiles to hit ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq from the Mediterranean, in what was the first airstrike launched from the sea since the Iraq War.

Vice Admiral James Foggo III, commander of US 6th Fleet, said: “While the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is in the 6th Fleet area of operations, they continue to project power ashore against terrorists and violent extremists.”

ISIS is also taking a pummelling in neighbouring Iraq, where government forces are in the process of liberating the city of Falluja from the terrorists’ rule.

Iraqi forces are said to be confident that the city will be retaken “within a week”, in what would mark another major victory in the war against the evil extremist group.

If Falluja falls ISIS will be left with just Mosul, in northern Iraq, as their last remaining stronghold in the country.

Once a bustling city of two million people, it has been decimated by two years of brutal jihadi rule and is believed to be where key terrorist figures including ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi are hiding out.
